Slinger High School Driver Education
Slinger High School offers Driver Education classroom and behind the wheel instruction SUMMERS ONLY. For more specific dates and details click the link at the left.
Students must meet age requirements for classroom and behind the wheel instruction. To get a temporary driver's permit, state law requires that the student be at least 15 years old AND be scheduled to start behind the wheel instruction within 60 days. (You cannot obtain the temporary permit if you have not enrolled in behind the wheel instruction.)
Students may choose to just take classroom here at Slinger High School and then take behind the wheel with a commercial driving company if it fits your schedule better. Birth date eligibility cut-off dates are announced each January in the high school newsletter and on this website.
Classroom is typically offered in the mornings, immediately following the last day of the school year, and lasts three weeks. It is offered again starting in early-to-mid July. Behind the wheel instruction is offered various times throughout the summer (and also in September after school in the late afternoon or early evening, if necessary).
