Slinger High School Forensics focuses on the art of public speaking. Students try out for their positions in the fall and then begin to prepare for the late winter/early spring tournament season. Students meet once a week with their coaches as well as having a few large team practices to fine tune their speeches. Students compete in various categories at 6 different tournaments. Students wishing to further their speaking talents may compete at the regional tournament to qualify for national competition.
Tryouts - late October
Practices - once a week starting in late November, continue until April
State Tournament - first weekend of April
National Catholic Forensics League Tournament - Memorial Day weekend
