Academic Decathlon is a rewarding program designed for students of all grade-point levels to demonstrate their intellectual capabilities in a competition format with other schools.
Students participating in Academic Decathlon will spend time preparing for our Local Competition (November), Regional Competition (January), and State Competition (March), and National Competition (April) [must qualify for each competition]. The competition focuses on 7 core areas: Art, Economics, Literature (Novel - Frankenstein), Math, Music, Science, & Social Science. In addition to the core areas, students will prepare speeches, write essays, & interview in front of judges. This year's theme is "In Sickness and In Health", a study of disease.
